Do you use Canva to polish your content marketing projects? As a copywriter and content writer who does NOT have a design degree (but I’ve dabbled over the years), it took me a while to discover Canva. It happened in 2020.
I was writing web copy for a cleaning company. On their social media page, they were creating what I considered gorgeous, clean branded graphics to get the word out about their business. I said, WOW, how are you creating those, and so fast?” My client said, “Oh, we just use Canva!” like it was no big whoop.
Canva Templates are Crazy Viral
As is true for most of us, I didn’t have a lot of planned activities in 2020. So I thought, hmm, maybe I should get comfy with Canva. So I signed up at the free level. And lo and behold, a world of possibilities cracked open.
After learning where in the platform things were located, I started realizing the massive “viralness” of their design templates.
If you wanted to create something specific (“fitness tracker”, “coaching brochure” “wellness journal”) you could just search for it. Then you could click on an existing template of theirs, and totally change the cover, color scheme, fonts, and even add or delete pages/elements and move things around.

I noticed that when I began introducing “complete content packs” to my Wordfeeder PLR customers, some thought it was fantastic but others wanted to stick with the .Doc format. I wondered if they just didn’t know how to use Canva.
