PLR, otherwise known as private label rights content, otherwise known as done-for-you content. You’ve heard about it, you know people use it but you’re not sure. It’s done. But is it for you?
Lots of people get stuck when it comes to using content that they purchase already written, and I’ll tell you why. They don’t feel close to the content. They didn’t write it so they’re not in tune.
I’ll tell you how to get around this. Psych yourself up, the same way that you would if you had assigned the writing of your future ebook to a qualified ghostwriter. You’re paying this person cash money and you’re eager to see what they come up with.
So when the draft lands in your hands, you’re ready to tackle it and make it your own. That’s what you have to do with plr.
The problem is that this industry is so distractible. You’ve got people on the left and the right all trying to hand you content at the same time. Just focus on one project.
What are you going to create? How about an ebook? Okay, perfect.
What’s it going to be on? Go look at your content collection and pick a topic. Imagine how your readers will react.
Great, now open up the document and get going. Here’s how to approach the work for the best result.
MUST-KNOW TIPS for making PLR content look and sound like you:
Change titles and headlines.
Example: “Believe in Yourself Empowerment Course” becomes “I Believe in Me Self Discovery Challenge”.
Edit to reflect your values.
It’s the same as paying a ghostwriter $50 an hour and then revamping what she wrote to include your ideas. Only PLR is SO MUCH more economical!
Switch the points around.
The best way to do this is to have the PLR document on the left, and a new, blank document on the right.
On the blank doc, isolate the main outline of the ebook or course you’re creating. Then flip back and forth from your PLR content to your new draft, and insert the relevant points here and there.
Cut, paste, move, delete, rewrite.
You can one PLR content pack in a multitude of ways.
A set of 15 articles can become an email challenge, an ebook, seven blog posts, a video slide show, or all of the above. Just get used to grabbing snippets of content and expanding upon the ideas, or cutting excess wording.
